About This Role

The Certified Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of patient care. This role ensures consideration of age-specific and population-specific needs and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic procedures as ordered by a physician
• Perform pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by a physician
• Assess, plan, implement, and document care considering age and population specific needs
• Serve as Lead RCP for the section or department during a shift in the supervisor's absence

Requirements

• State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
• PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Nice to Have

• 2 years experience as a RCP preferred
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
• NRP certificate preferred
