Provide direct and indirect patient care services for adult psychiatric acute patients, leveraging technical and manual skills within the scope of practice. This role operates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and focuses on meeting the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care services
- Utilize technical and manual skills within scope of practice
- Meet psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care for patients
- Meet communication needs of patients and families
- Perform duties under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting
Requirements
- Current and valid state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- IV certification within 90 days of hire and maintained current
Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience in an applicable setting preferred.
