This role involves developing meaningful relationships with residents and staff while utilizing clinical skills to promote the physical and psychosocial well-being of seniors in a supportive environment. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will join the ASC Therapies and Wellness team and participate in a structured mentorship program.
Responsibilities
- Develop meaningful relationships with residents and staff by learning their life stories
- Utilize clinical skills to promote the physical and psychosocial well-being of residents
- Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents
- Promote teamwork within the care team to exceed resident needs
- Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive resident care
- Work towards a common goal of excellent care for residents
- Support a respectful and positive work environment through interpersonal communication
Requirements
- Current and valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Indiana
- Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions
- Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence
- Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values
