About This Role

This role involves developing meaningful relationships with residents and staff while utilizing clinical skills to promote the physical and psychosocial well-being of seniors in a supportive environment. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will join the ASC Therapies and Wellness team and participate in a structured mentorship program.

Responsibilities

  • Develop meaningful relationships with residents and staff by learning their life stories
  • Utilize clinical skills to promote the physical and psychosocial well-being of residents
  • Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents
  • Promote teamwork within the care team to exceed resident needs
  • Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive resident care
  • Work towards a common goal of excellent care for residents
  • Support a respectful and positive work environment through interpersonal communication

Requirements

  • Current and valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Indiana
  • Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions
  • Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence
  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values
