About This Role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential daily care to residents in a skilled nursing setting, supporting their emotional well-being and fostering a welcoming community. This role makes a real impact on residents' lives through compassionate and exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • Check each resident routinely to ensure personal care needs are met
  • Review patient care plans daily for changes in routine
  • Inform the nurse supervisor of any changes in the resident’s condition
  • Assist residents with daily needs, including preparation for activities and transporting to appointments
  • Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, and enthusiasm
  • Ensure residents’ rooms are ready for receiving and help residents feel comfortable
  • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Effectively communicate necessary resident information to charge nurses, director of nursing, and/or administrator

Requirements

  • 10th grade education or above
  • Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in this state
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Active CPR/BLS certification
