Responsibilities

• Monitor and record health and behavior of residents and clients, communicating information with the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and client records
• Follow residents' and clients' individual care plans
• Know emergency and evacuation procedures
• Have a working knowledge of regulations governing long-term care
• Attend required orientation, training, and maintain current Certified Nursing Assistant certification
• Become familiar with the Policy and Procedure Manual and implement its contents
• Prepare and assist with meals and provide snacks for residents
• Assist in household and housekeeping duties, including inventory, storage of supplies, and light cleaning
• Understand and follow proper infection control procedures
• Conduct and/or assist with assignments and activity groups

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
