Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

About This Role

Provide personal care, household support, and companionship services to help adults maintain independence at home. This role involves following a written care plan and assisting clients with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Follow a written plan of care by a registered nurse
• Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care
• Offer household support such as light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding
• Help with range of motion exercises and ambulation, including transfers and use of mechanical lifting devices
• Provide medication reminders
• Perform vital sign checks including temperature, pulse, and respiration

Requirements

• A passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
• Commitment to being present and providing quality care
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect
• Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous home health care or patient care welcomed, but not required.

Nice to Have
