About This Role

Provide essential care and support to clients in their homes, following a care plan to maintain a safe and healthy environment, assist with daily living activities, and report any changes in client condition. This role requires compassion and a strong commitment to client well-being.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a healthy, safe environment for clients, providing nutritional and environmental support
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking, and feeding
• Position clients according to instructions
• Assist with certain treatments and therapy as approved by the nursing supervisor
• Remind clients to take medications
• Assist with payment of bills only when authorized and documented
• Run errands when authorized and documented
• Report any important information or changes in the client's condition to the agency or nursing supervisor
• Provide emotional support and encourage client independence
• Use medical supplies and equipment when appropriate

Requirements

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
• Certificate from a Home Health Aide training program consistent with State requirements
• Evidence of ongoing in-service education to maintain certificate
• Maturity for establishing and maintaining good work relationships
• Sincere interest and sympathetic attitude towards caring for the sick and disabled
