About This Role

Operate a commercial truck for the delivery and/or pickup of agronomy and/or energy products, following specified time schedules and safety standards. Perform daily safety checks and maintain vehicle appearance to promote professional service.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned vehicles, including single, tandem, or multi-axle configurations, and forklifts in accordance with safety standards.
  • Perform and record daily safety checks of vehicles and equipment, including pre-trip inspections, fuel, oil, tires, lights, and brakes.
  • Follow preventative maintenance program and maintain a clean truck for professional appearance.
  • Load and unload containers, pallets, materials, and products safely on trucks, trailers, or railcars by hand or forklift.
  • Ensure loads are evenly balanced and distributed according to DOT regulations, checking axle weights.
  • Ensure all deliveries and pickups are made on time, promoting superior customer service.
  • Complete all associated documentation accurately, such as bills of lading, delivery slips, and invoices, and return to the branch daily.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including accurate logbooks and records of cargo.
  • Maintain company equipment according to standards and adhere to the company Uniform Policy and professional image.
  • Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years related work experience
  • Ability to safely operate tractor trailer or tender truck equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL license with tanker endorsement
  • Valid medical card
  • Satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to operate single, tandem and multi-axle vehicles
  • Ability to work extended hours and on-call

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or the equivalent thereof
  • 2+ years of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to safely operate tractor trailer or tender truck equipment
