CDL A Local Truck Driver Solo

About This Role

Drive a dedicated SOLO Class A CDL truck on local routes in Owensboro, KY, primarily transporting auto parts with no-touch freight. This role involves drop and hook operations and offers stable Monday-Friday scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/Unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Qualifications

• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years experience within the last 10 years in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
