CDL A Driver

About This Role

Safely transport aggregate raw materials and other building materials using a tractor and end dump trailer, performing local deliveries and adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and offload raw aggregate materials using a tractor and end dump trailer
• Safely dump raw materials using an end dump trailer
• Transport block, mortar, and other building materials to customers safely as needed
• Make assigned deliveries in a safe and timely manner
• Assist and supervise truck loading to ensure proper order and weight distribution
• Receive and follow dispatcher instructions, including invoice details, job site directions, and special instructions
• Maintain complete and accurate records such as daily truck logs, fuel tickets, and delivery documentation
• Perform pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and report any concerns or problems immediately
• Obtain shipping bills and necessary signatures, returning completed paperwork to the shipping department
• Operate tractor-trailer/vehicle according to state and federal laws and company safety regulations
• Provide and document proper routine maintenance of assigned truck and loading/unloading equipment
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, brakes, fuel, oil, and water

Requirements

• Current CDL A license
• Clean MVR
• At least 2 years of current CDL experience
• Detail-oriented
• Good communication skills
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Required DOT yearly physical

Qualifications

• High school diploma / equivalent
• 2+ years of current CDL A experience

Nice to Have

• Good knowledge of the product for product quality assurance
