Cath Lab Technologist

About This Role

This role involves assisting with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system within the Cath Lab, focusing on patient monitoring, testing, and procedural support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system
• Perform active physiological monitoring of heart rate, rhythm, pressures, and saturations
• Accurately identify and communicate patient condition changes to the physician and team
• Routinely perform patient testing and/or monitoring to include oxygen saturation, cardiac output, shunting, hemodynamic calculations and other intra-procedure testing
• Demonstrate knowledge and variation of procedures, including the equipment/supplies used for performance
• Demonstrate proper handling, preparation, and maintains asepsis
• Anticipate and adapt to physician and case needs
• Assist with room setup, patient transport and post-procedure clean-up
• Ensure infection control and sharp safety procedures are followed regarding waste and reusable products
• Perform patient education regarding post-procedure monitoring and care of catheter insertion site

Requirements

• Advanced Life Support (AHA or ARC) obtained prior to hire date
• BLS Provider (AHA or ARC) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date
• One or more required: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI) OR Certified Cardiographic Tech (CCI) OR Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (ARRT)
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Entry level with High School diploma equivalency requiring 2 years cumulative experience, or Associate's degree, or 4 years applicable cumulative job specific experience.

Nice to Have

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA or ARC) preferred
