About This Role

This role involves providing compassionate personal care to clients, ensuring their safety, and supporting their independence within a group home setting. Direct Support Professionals play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships and assisting with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks, including feeding, ambulation, and medical monitoring
• Assist with fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates
• Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment
• Encourage self-help activities
• Accompany clients to scheduled appointments

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work in a group home, home-like setting
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external
