Caregiver

About This Role

Caregivers at Marklund assist individuals with profound disabilities in daily activities, helping them achieve their goals and ensuring a safe and clean environment. This role contributes to Marklund's mission of enhancing residents' lives and fostering a supportive community.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day program activities, ensuring residents achieve daily goals
• Groom residents by brushing their hair, teeth, and shaving
• Assist residents with bathing, incontinence, and dressing
• Feed residents and accurately document food and liquid intake
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
• Assist residents with mobility needs, including transferring from wheelchair to bed
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job and meet functional/environmental requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Caregiver experience is helpful but not required; paid on-site training for Direct Support Professional certification is provided.
