About This Role

Provide essential home care for a male quadriplegic client in Bruce Township, focusing on personal care duties and ensuring safety during 12-hour overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform peri-care
• Assist with bowel program/training as needed
• Reposition client every 2 hours
• Provide medication reminders
• Perform homemaking duties (light housekeeping)
• Assist with mobility
• Provide safety and respond quickly to emergencies
• Assist with meal preparation
• Provide respite care

Requirements

• Comfortable working in a home with a German Shepherd
• Hoyer Lift Experience
• Rights to Work in the United States
• Auto Insurance
• Negative TB Skin Test
• Reliable Transportation
• 3 Verifiable Work References
• Ability to work independently with minimum direct supervision
• Ability to be flexible and accommodate for weekends

Nice to Have

• CNA preferred
• Experience with complex care
