Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise and work with a crew performing various highway and landscape maintenance tasks for Caltrans. Enforce safety policies, manage environmental procedures, and respond to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and work with a crew engaged in various highway/landscape maintenance tasks
• Enforce safety and health policies and procedures as contained in the Department's Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
• Manage environmental and storm water procedures
• Handle emergencies and natural disasters
• Implement accident prevention techniques and safe work practices
• Work irregular shifts/alternate work schedules including nights, holidays and weekends
• Respond to emergency situations and calls
