Cage Cashier

About This Role

This role is responsible for safeguarding the Casino's bankroll and providing exceptional guest service in a cage cashier position. It involves accurate cash and chip handling, processing various transactions, and promoting casino events.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard Casino bankroll
• Verify and redeem slot tickets and other negotiable items for cash
• Redeem coin for customers following specific cash and coin handling procedures
• Process high volume of check cashing, CCCA and Debit Card transactions
• Exchange foreign currency by accurately computing exchange rate
• Exchange cash and chips for customers following specific cash and chip handling procedures
• Complete MLT log for federal cash reporting requirements
• Perform computer data entry
• Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers at all times
• Advocate casino promotions and events to casino guests
• Promote Xperience membership to casino guests and create membership accounts
• Redeem direct mailer offers and follow promotion rules
• Maintain knowledge regarding Angel of the Winds Casino’s current services, promotions, functions, and events

Requirements

• Exceptional guest service skills
• Minimum of six months heavy cash handling cashier experience
• Ability to operate a 10 key with speed and accuracy
• Customer service oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
• Intermediate skills in Windows, MS Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Experience with database systems

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months heavy cash handling cashier experience
