Lead the Business Services Team, overseeing global travel, logistics, events, and expense management for Canonical. This role involves significant coordination, planning, and ensuring efficiency and compliance across a distributed workforce.
Responsibilities
- Lead efficient and effective travel, logistics, event, scheduling, expense policy, and administration
- Coordinate large-scale company events for hundreds of people from 80+ countries four times a year
- Manage travel procurement and logistics for company events, ensuring efficiency and safety
- Serve as an independent check on expense claim approval, ensuring fairness and consistency
- Handle traditional 'EA' services across departments, including scheduling meetings and coordinating reports
- Oversee global duty of care, health, and safety programs with comprehensive policies and practices
Requirements
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in a technical or business subject
- Leadership and management skills
- Demonstrable good judgment in matters involving money, policy, and in-person interactions
- Ability to work in a global, multicultural organization
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility
- Responsibility, accountability, thoughtfulness, and self-awareness
- Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments
- Ability to travel up to four times a year, for company events up to two weeks long
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in a technical or business subject
