About This Role

Lead and manage the Business Services team responsible for efficient travel, logistics, event planning, scheduling, expense policy, and administration for a global open-source software company. This role impacts every team, ensuring smooth operations, adherence to policy, and effective large-scale company events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the Business Services team
  • Oversee travel approvals, logistics, and operations for a global workforce
  • Conduct expense review in line with company policies, ensuring fairness and consistency
  • Plan and execute complex company events four times a year, involving hundreds of participants from 80+ countries
  • Manage company offices that provide executive briefing and operational facilities
  • Develop and implement global duty of care, health, and safety programs with comprehensive policies
  • Coordinate with suppliers and run small projects or initiatives
  • Provide 'EA' services across departments, including scheduling meetings and handling delegated approvals

Requirements

  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical or business subject
  • Drive, and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Demonstrable good judgement in matters involving money, policy and in-person interactions
  • Ability to work in a global, multicultural organisation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility
  • Responsibility, accountability, thoughtfulness and self-awareness
  • Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments
  • Ability to travel up to four times a year, for company events up to two weeks long

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree in a technical or business subject
