Business Consultant

About This Role

Provide expertise in strategic and critical work to design, launch, and execute programs supporting initiatives in a changing healthcare environment. This role involves subject matter expertise and collaboration across various business functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in areas like project management, finance, data, or IT to support initiative tasks and goals
• Collaborate on business strategy, thesis, programs, and identify strategic opportunities
• Support cross-functional teams and projects to deliver value
• Proactively identify ways to build synergy and mutually reinforcing workstreams across business functions
• Design and run dashboards to support clear communication across vertical business components
• Review and support task coordination while identifying potential process improvements
• Develop and finalize budgets, policies, and other documentation for programs
• Build trusted relationships within CareFirst to deepen subject-matter expertise and synchronize with core operations
• Communicate strategy, programs, and next steps to leadership and partners

Requirements

• 5 years experience in business development, operational technology support, general business operations and/or consulting experience
• Understand business goals and priorities
• Follow evolving market, industry and consumer trends
• Effective communication of complex ideas both verbal and written
• Exceptional project management, facilitation and organizational skills
• Excellent relationship management skills
• Strategic thinker, problem solver, and collaborator
• Significant experience with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR an additional 4 years of relevant work experience
• 5 years experience in business development, operational technology support, general business operations and/or consulting experience.
