Business Analyst

About This Role

This role involves ensuring financial accuracy and driving revenue growth within the merchant services division by managing billing collections, developing forecasting models, and analyzing revenue streams. The analyst will also resolve complex billing issues and automate reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

• Proactively track, reconcile, and forecast merchant’s manual invoices (Remit billing), generating over $12 million annually
• Collaborate with Lock Box team, Accounting, Strategic Account Managers, and Sales to ensure 100% collection efforts on outstanding receivables
• Protect against a monthly risk exposure exceeding $1 million from uncollectable receivables
• Develop and maintain revenue growth forecasting models in partnership with the DNA team, analyzing metrics such as DIAA, Total Recurring Revenue, Volumes, and Transactions by merchant segment and industry
• Work with Finance and Accounting to analyze trends, establish baseline forecasts, and support strategic decision-making
• Create unit revenue metrics forecasts for new sales by segment, collaborating with Sales to support future planning
• Design, develop, and implement automated reconciliation processes using SQL tools and Excel macros to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting, and other duties as assigned to support team objectives and organizational goals

Requirements

• 5+ years relevant experience, preferably in the Merchant Acquirer industry
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Intermediate proficiency in SQL Query Language
• Experience using AWS
• Experience working collaboratively across departments such as Sales, Accounting, Finance, and the DNA team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word
• Proficiency with Salesforce
• Ability to quickly adapt to new systems/software
• Proven track record of building effective relationships within a team environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5+ years’ relevant experience, preferably in the Merchant Acquirer industry
