Building Engineer

About This Role

Join Nightwing as a Facilities Building Engineer to provide daily and preventative maintenance support for multiple campus buildings. Work closely with the Senior Facilities Lead to ensure the proper function and safety of building systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assess buildings for potential safety hazards
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Monitor building equipment for proper functionality
• Prepare building maintenance and repairs documentation
• Understand and apply required safety and health regulations
• Coordinate warranty and repair service requests with vendors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in building maintenance and repair
• Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Strong working knowledge of applicable safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of building systems
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor
• Ability to provide written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical trade school certification
• 5+ years of experience in building maintenance and repair

Nice to Have

• Comprehensive training and certification in HVAC or Operation Engineering Technologies
• Licenses for applicable jurisdiction and equipment
• Computer skills necessary to operate Building Automation Systems
• Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and NFC codes and regulations
