About This Role

This role is for a children and youth advisor within the 'Børneliv' department in Valby-Vesterbro-Kgs. Enghave (VVK), with positions available in both the authority group and security plan group. The purpose of these roles is to create safe childhoods for vulnerable children by working with families, colleagues, and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases according to the Child Act, focusing on risk and protective factors for vulnerable children and families.
• Ensure the child's voice or perspective is included in case management.
• Collaborate with parents and networks to best assist and support families and children.
• Process notifications and prepare assessments and child welfare investigations.
• Initiate support and make decisions regarding its implementation.
• Follow up on the effectiveness of support and adjust initiatives as needed.
• Coordinate efforts in cases, including close professional collaboration with other professionals.
• Work with children aged 0-7 years in the authority group to create positive changes.
• Handle cases with high levels of concern and complexity in the security plan group, often involving children from unborn to 18 years.
• Collaborate with family therapists in the security plan group on cases with families and their networks.

Requirements

• Trained social worker or similar relevant education
• Interest in or experience working with vulnerable children and/or children with autism and their families
• Strong relational competencies to build alliances with families and their networks
• Knowledge of legislation in the specialized children's area and ability to work structured with case management
• Collaborative approach both internally and externally, focusing on mobilizing and directing other professionals
• Prepared for a sometimes hectic daily routine where deviations from plans may be necessary

• Uddannet socialrådgiver or similar relevant uddannelse
