Manage and maintain accurate financial records, process payroll, and ensure compliance for clients within an independently owned and operated H&R Block franchise. Support clients in achieving their financial goals through high-quality bookkeeping and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Post financial transactions accurately and timely
- Reconcile and balance accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Generate and analyze financial statements
- Prepare and process payroll for clients, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Generate 1099s and W2s, and calculate and prepare tax statements
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, vendors, and banking contacts
- Assist in client retention efforts and identify opportunities for client growth
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles & procedures
- Ability to interpret and apply complete instructions, policies, and regulations
- Ability to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Analytical skills and an eye for detail
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience
