Perform intermediate to advanced blending operations on aerospace components, ensuring quality standards and customer specifications are met through the use of precision equipment and adherence to technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Perform blending, smoothing, and contouring of aerospace components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
- Review blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine blending requirements and ensure compliance with customer specifications
- Identify and correct defects such as dents, scratches, or gouges on surfaces
- Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify tolerances and ensure proper part dimensions
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and inspections conducted
- Perform minor assembly and disassembly of engine components according to standard practice manuals and maintenance instructions
Requirements
- Ability to perform intermediate to advanced blending operations on aerospace components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
- Ability to perform visual and dimensional inspections
