Bilingual LVN or RN for Plasma Donation Center

About This Role

The Center Medical Specialist performs physical examinations and establishes medical histories to determine donor suitability in a plasma donation center. This role ensures donor and staff confidentiality, provides education on general health and test results, and manages donor injuries and adverse events.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examination and establish medical history to determine donor suitability
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality
• Responsible for donor awareness to potential hazards
• Provide donor education regarding general health and counseling regarding unacceptable test results
• Evaluate & manage donor injuries and adverse events
• Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability
• Assist in employee training
• Administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program

Requirements

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Currently certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocation Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT
• HS diploma or GED
• Current CPR certification
