Join Opal Autism Centers as a Behavior Technician in Training, gaining hands-on experience and becoming a certified RBT to provide essential support to children with autism and their families. This role offers mentorship from experienced BCBAs to facilitate meaningful changes in clients' lives.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and complete the 40-hour RBT training program to develop knowledge and skills in behavior analysis
- Shadow and assist RBTs and BCBAs in implementing treatment plans
- Collect and record electronic data on client behaviors and progress
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities to facilitate their learning and growth
- Communicate with families about their child's daily progress
- Attend team meetings and training sessions to further your understanding of ABA principles
- Maintain adherence to ethical guidelines and regulations per BACB guidelines
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Willingness to complete the RBT training program and attain certification
- Ability to obtain CPR certification before employment start date
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Commitment to ethical standards in behavior analysis practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Desire to learn and grow professionally in the field of behavior analysis
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and sit/stand/squat throughout the day
- Comfortable working fully on-site in a center-based setting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; further education in psychology, special education, or related fields is a plus
