About This Role

This role involves working one-on-one with children with Autism to implement behavioral goals and help them acquire new skills. You will utilize science-rooted teaching procedures, create engaging learning environments, and collect data to provide outstanding quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Work one-on-one with children to implement goals written and overseen by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Help children acquire new skills utilizing teaching procedures rooted in science
  • Create exciting, fun, and motivating learning environments
  • Provide feedback related to the established program for each client
  • Collect data as it relates to the established program for each client
  • Assist clients with toilet training and other needs
  • Maintain attention to detail in all tasks
  • Communicate effectively both written and orally
  • Maintain a positive, open, and objective attitude towards others
  • Lift up to 50 pounds, react quickly, and respond to sudden client movements

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday between 8am-7pm
  • Willingness to commute to client homes/clinics within 30 minutes
  • Motivation and commitment to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within 90 days
  • Ability and willingness to assist clients with toilet training/needs
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Maintain a positive, open, and objective attitude towards others
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to react quickly and respond to sudden movements of the client
  • Ability to walk and stand 75% of the workday
  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, crawl, and sit on the floor for extended periods
  • Ability to quickly move short distances (up to 100 ft) to engage with client

Qualifications

  • High School diploma; College degree preferred
  • Previous experience working with children. Experience with autism or other intellectual disabilities strongly preferred.
