About This Role

This role is for a Behavior Technician at Autism Learning Partners, supporting children and teens with autism. The position involves teaching new skills through play and active engagement, serving as a positive role model, and helping families see progress. No prior certification is required, and full paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Help kids learn new skills like communication, sharing, or following directions through fun games or activities
  • Be a positive role model, encouraging progress and celebrating small victories daily
  • Stay active by moving around, playing, and engaging throughout sessions
  • Keep things organized by tracking what was worked on and how the child performed
  • Support families as part of a team helping them see real progress and hope

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6+ months of paid or volunteer experience working with children
  • Smartphone or similar device capable of capturing client session data and being tech-savvy
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, TB test, Pre-employment Physical Exam
  • Have or receive immunities to MMR/VZV
  • Reliable form of transportation including a valid driver’s license and car insurance
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Fluency in Spanish

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months of paid or volunteer experience working with children

Nice to Have

  • ABA experience is a plus
  • Exposure to individuals with Autism or special needs through family, friends, or work experience
