Beauty Advisor

About This Role

The Beauty Advisor provides an exceptional guest experience by engaging customers, performing cashier tasks, maintaining stock, and ensuring store cleanliness. This role supports the leadership team through a focus on sales performance, customer service, and compliance with operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and omni-channel sales
• Provide exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, answering questions, and recommending products/services
• Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges and assist with on-line orders
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events
• Stay informed regarding new and existing products and services, including ingredients and benefits
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
• Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness
• Participate in completing merchandise resets, planograms, and processing/unloading shipments
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices

Requirements

• Passion for guest service and competency for selling
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
