Beauty Advisor

About This Role

The Beauty Advisor provides an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests by engaging them to determine their individual needs, conducting cashier tasks, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness. This role supports the leadership team through a focus on sales performance, guest service, and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink.
• Deliver exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, answering product questions, informing about promotions, and recommending products/services.
• Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges, and assist with online orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest service.
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events.
• Stay informed regarding new and existing products and services by learning ingredients and benefits.
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and standards.
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness in all areas.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and processing/unloading shipments.

Requirements

• Demonstrates a passion for guest service and competency for selling
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
