Beauty Advisor

About This Role

The Beauty Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences by determining individual needs, performing cashier tasks, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness at Ulta Beauty.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and omni-channel sales
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and answering product questions
• Inform guests about promotions and sales, and recommend relevant Ulta Beauty products and services
• Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and assist with online orders
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest service
• Book appointments and support in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience and meet sales goals
• Stay informed about new and existing products and services, including their ingredients and benefits
• Contribute to an inclusive environment, share guest loyalty program benefits, and collaborate with team members
• Participate in ongoing training for continuous professional development and sales performance
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
• Drive sales by keeping assigned work area replenished, signed, faced, and ensuring testers are available
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall cleanliness

Requirements

• Passion for guest service and competency for selling
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
