Beauty Advisor

About This Role

Provide exceptional guest service at Ulta Beauty by determining individual needs, performing cashier tasks, maintaining store cleanliness, and driving sales through product knowledge and demonstrations. Support the leadership team in achieving sales goals and upholding operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, and personalizing service for each guest
• Answer questions about products and services, inform guests about promotions, and recommend Ulta Beauty products/services
• Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and assist with online orders
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events
• Stay informed about new and existing products and services, understanding their ingredients and benefits
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests
• Share benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app
• Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business
• Participate in ongoing training for professional development and sales performance
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code
• Drive sales by keeping assigned work area replenished, signed, faced, and ensuring testers are available
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness across all areas
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing/advertising displays, physical inventory, and processing shipments
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service
• Execute other operational tasks as directed

Requirements

• Passion for guest service and sales competency
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
