Beauty Advisor

About This Role

Provide an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests by determining their individual needs, assisting with cashier tasks, and maintaining a stocked and clean store environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink
• Ensure guests receive exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, answering questions, and recommending products
• Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and assist with online orders
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events
• Stay informed regarding new and existing products and services, including ingredients and benefits
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app
• Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business
• Regularly participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, advertising displays, physical inventory, and processing shipments
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices

Requirements

• Demonstrates a passion for guest service and competency for selling
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
