Beauty Advisor

About This Role

The Beauty Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences by engaging customers, completing cashier tasks, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness. This role focuses on driving sales, ensuring guest satisfaction, and adhering to operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink.
• Ensure exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, answering questions, and recommending products/services.
• Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and assist with online orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Book appointments and support the execution of services and in-store events.
• Stay informed about new and existing products and services, including ingredients and benefits.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program and the Ulta Beauty app with guests.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business.
• Regularly participate in ongoing training for professional development and sales performance.

Requirements

• Passion for guest service and competency for selling
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
