Beauty Advisor

About This Role

This role is responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences at Ulta Beauty by determining individual needs, conducting cashier tasks, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness. The Beauty Advisor supports the leadership team through a focus on performance, guest service, and compliance with operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and omni-channel sales.
• Deliver exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service to their needs, and answering questions about products and services.
• Recommend complementary Ulta Beauty products and/or services and inform guests about promotions and sales.
• Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and assist with on-line orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales.
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events.
• Stay informed regarding new and existing products and services, and be knowledgeable about their ingredients and benefits.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance and adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment and share the benefits of the guest loyalty program.
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness.

Requirements

• Passion for guest service and competency for selling
• Proficiency with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
