Beauty Advisor

About This Role

Provide an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests by determining their needs, conducting cashier tasks, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness. Support the leadership team through a focus on performance, guest service, and compliance with operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, answering questions, informing about promotions, and recommending products/services
• Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and assist with on-line orders
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events
• Stay informed regarding new and existing products/services, their ingredients, and benefits
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests
• Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app
• Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education
• Maintain outstanding store standards and overall store cleanliness including salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area

Requirements

• Passion for guest service and competency for selling
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
