About This Role

Serve customers by providing fast and friendly service, handling transactions, stocking shelves, and maintaining store cleanliness. This role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient store operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly manner upon entry and thank them upon departure
• Provide fast and efficient service to all customers
• Operate electronic cash register for customer sales, process payments, and provide correct change
• Process refunds and exchanges for returned merchandise
• Assist with shift changes by counting money in the cash drawer
• Process specialty products including money orders, credit card purchases, checks, and lottery sales
• Verify identification for restricted sales
• Check and replenish stock on food service supplies, including cups, lids, condiments, and napkins
• Clean and sanitize all food service equipment using the three-sink method
• Clean all areas of the store, including countertops, microwaves, shelves, floors, windows, restrooms, and parking lots
• Empty trash containers regularly
• Stock shelves and coolers, rotate, and front-face merchandise
• Remove damaged and out-of-code merchandise from shelves
• Price merchandise according to the price book
• Check in vendor deliveries following company guidelines
• Complete necessary training evaluations and documents

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication)
• Ability to lift 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
