Supervise evening bakery operations, ensuring departments are stocked with fresh products and providing excellent customer and associate service, while leading the team in the Bakery Manager's absence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Bakery department in the absence of the Bakery Manager, performing assigned tasks and providing effective leadership
- Reinforce Festival Foods culture, guest service, and performance expectations to all evening Bakery associates
- Onboard new evening Bakery clerks and cleaners, providing training and support
- Answer associate questions, provide guidance, and offer performance feedback to the Bakery Manager
- Ensure all department standards are met by monitoring sales floor, prep area, back room, cooler, and freezer conditions
- Assist guests with finding items, taking cake and special orders, and handling phone inquiries
- Help team with packaging, labeling, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
- Keep supplies replenished, maintain food safety logs, and meet quality standards for product quantity
Requirements
- Customer Service Skills
- Oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of retail food service, bakery and pastry operations
- Strong understanding of food service standards and practices
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety requirements and ability to apply on-the-job safety training
