The AWS Infra/DevOps Architect will lead and consult with clients on the system design of AWS environments, specifically focusing on the design, installation, configuration, automation, and monitoring of various Cloud Platform Services. This role involves leading multiple DevOps environments, system migrations, and upgrades, while also mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead and consult with clients on the system design of AWS environments
- Lead the design, installation, configuration, automation, and monitoring of various Cloud Platform Services
- Lead multiple (DevOps) environments based on client requirements
- Lead system migrations and system upgrades to create and deploy new cloud environments
- Mentor and support junior team members
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with AWS DevOps, Terraform and automation scripting with Python, Bash, Ansible
- Residence within a commutable distance to one of the US Delivery Center locations (Gilbert, Lake Mary, or Mechanicsburg) or Geohubs (Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, or Philadelphia)
- Ability to spend up to 30% of working time co-located at an assigned office
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with AWS DevOps, Terraform and automation scripting
Nice to Have
- Cloud native language experience (Lambda, Node.js, Python, Go)
- Advanced understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure services such as VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, EFS, ELB, IAM
- Robust System Administration Experience with Ubuntu, RedHat Linux or Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019/2022
- Experience with server hardening for security compliance
- Experience with cloud operations (backup, patching, vulnerability management)
- Experience working with cloud automation and deployment tools (CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform, Chef)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS EKS, AWS ECS, Fargate)
