Support the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), Metrology Division, by providing full-spectrum Mechanical Engineering Support in a production environment. This role involves applying mechanical engineering knowledge to the design, development, testing, implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration of test and support equipment systems for the U.S. Naval Aviation Fleet.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-spectrum Mechanical Engineering Support in the production environment within the FRCSE Metrology Division
- Apply Mechanical engineering knowledge in support of the design of new and/or existing test equipment and support equipment systems
- Apply Mechanical engineering knowledge in support of the development of new and/or existing test equipment and support equipment systems
- Apply Mechanical engineering knowledge in support of the T&E (Test and Evaluation) of new and/or existing test equipment and support equipment systems
- Apply Mechanical engineering knowledge in support of the implementation of new and/or existing test equipment and support equipment systems
- Apply Mechanical engineering knowledge in support of troubleshooting new and/or existing test equipment and support equipment systems
- Apply Mechanical engineering knowledge in support of the maintenance and administration of new and/or existing test equipment and support equipment systems
- Collaborate, plan and execute in support of repair efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10 years of experience
- Security Clearance: Secret
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 10 years of experience, preferably with 5 years of Department of Defense experience. A Master's Degree plus 5 years of experience is an allowable substitution
Nice to Have
- 5 years of Department of Defense experience
- Experience with Hardness, Gas Pressure, Liquid Pressure, Helium Leak rate, Gas Flow, Air Velocity, Torque, Scales & Balance, Humidity, Acceleration, Vibration and Mass test equipment
