Audio Video Security Systems Technician

About This Role

This role involves setting up, maintaining, and repairing audio, video, and security systems, including cameras, intercoms, and video conferencing equipment. The technician will handle cabling, ensure proper functionality, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support for events.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, maintain, and repair audio, video, and security systems and related equipment
• Handle cabling and technical connections for various systems
• Ensure proper functionality of all audio, video, and security technology
• Troubleshoot problems when systems are moved, upgraded, or repaired
• Assist or provide audio and video setups for meetings, press conferences, and special events
• Coordinate with other crafts and trades as necessary
• Provide technical support for equipment changes or additions
• Install and remove cables and cabling infrastructure according to industry standards

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and repair of audio, intercom, CCTV, and security systems
• 1 year of journey-level experience
• High School diploma or GED certificate
• Valid class C driver’s license with no restrictions
• Physical dexterity, color perception, and visual acuity

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED certificate
• 3 years of experience in the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and repair of audio, intercom, CCTV, and security systems, with 1 year at journey-level.
