About This Role

Join a national law firm as a Tax Associate or Of Counsel to advise high-net-worth clients on complex estate planning, tax planning, wealth transfer, and fiduciary matters. This role offers a clear pathway to future leadership.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex estate planning, tax planning, wealth transfer, and fiduciary matters
• Counsel high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices on tax-efficient structures and long-term strategies
• Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related instruments
• Collaborate with partners on sophisticated tax and fiduciary matters, including gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax issues
• Support and eventually lead client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to practice development initiatives
• Participate in business development with a long-term expectation of stepping into a leadership role within the group

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in estate planning and/or tax law
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws affecting individuals, trusts, and estates
• Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated matters with autonomy
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Client-focused mindset

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in estate planning and/or tax law within a law firm setting

Nice to Have

• LL.M. in Taxation
