About This Role

Join the Aeronautical Systems Engineering team as an Associate Stress Engineer to perform structural analysis of aircraft, ensuring airworthiness through classical analysis methods and free body diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Use classical hand analysis and/or create finite element models to predict internal loads, displacements, and stresses for complex structure
  • Collaborate with Design Engineers to substantiate aircraft modifications and installations and ensure the design meets airworthiness requirements
  • Generate free body diagrams and calculate internal loads and stresses
  • Document structural analysis in formal reports to show compliance with airworthiness requirements
  • Develop structural tests and post-process the results to establish allowable strength data
  • Manage personal work to stay within scope, budget, and schedule for assigned tasks

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering or completed Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering or completed Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months
