Verify product conformance and inspect incoming and outgoing aerospace parts for a global services company, utilizing various inspection tools and maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Verify routine product conformance to design requirements
- Provide objective evidence of results
- Segregate and control non-conforming items
- Perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
- Inspect incoming parts/material and outgoing orders under limited supervision
- Verify correct certification for parts and orders
- Check parts for processing and special orders
- Utilize inspection tools daily, including micrometers, gauge controls, and calipers
- Mentor other members of the Inspection team
- Conduct dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels
- Conduct visual inspections for obvious defects
- Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards
- Communicate with vendors as needed regarding certification documentation
- Disposition and control of non-conforming products
Requirements
- 2+ years of related work experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator, and Smart scope
- Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures
- Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to pass a documented color and near vision exam
Qualifications
- 2+ years of related work experience
Nice to Have
- Previous aerospace inspection experience
- Knowledge of AS9100 requirements
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
