The Assistant Teacher provides individual and small group instruction to special education students under the supervision of a teacher. This role involves offering individual support, managing student behaviors through crisis intervention, and contributing as a collaborative member of the school team.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small group instruction to students under teacher supervision
- Offer personalized support to students as needed
- Provide crisis management to address behaviors in the milieu
- Perform duties to support the school team
- Report to the school principal/assistant principal
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience working with children
