This entry-level Assistant Project Manager position provides comprehensive administrative and construction support to the Project Management team, focusing on project documentation, submittals, and ensuring project quality control for a leading electrical contractor.
Responsibilities
- Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes
- Oversee project activities as assigned by the Project Manager, ensuring adherence to policies and standards
- Maintain change order, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs
- Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings
- Responsible for accurate and timely contract submittals
- Create and issue Subcontractors' contracts
- Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals in a timely manner
- Ensure the project quality control plan is followed
- Interact with subcontractors to obtain correct documentation and drawings for Owner and Maintenance Manuals
- Keep the Warranty Log up to date
Requirements
- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills
- Strong attention to details
- Excellent time management skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a construction-related role, or equivalent combination of training, education, and relevant work experience
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in Oracle
