This role involves teaching a variety of video production courses including electronic field production, Adobe for video and audio, production and direction, documentary film, and video for advertising and promotions. The Assistant Professor will contribute to the Zimmerman School of Advertising & Mass Communications at the University of South Florida, starting August 7, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of video production courses such as electronic field production, Adobe for video and audio, production and direction, documentary film, and video for advertising and promotions
- Stay up to speed on the consistently evolving nature of the video production industry
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in video production, film, broadcast news, mass communications or related field
- Professional experience and expertise in video production and editing
- Video reel submission
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in video production, film, broadcast news, mass communications or related field
- Professional experience and expertise in video production and editing are required. At least two years' experience teaching university undergraduates is preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience with mirrorless/DSLR/Cinema cameras
- Proficiency with video editing software
- At least two years' experience teaching university undergraduates
