Assistant Manager

About This Role

The Assistant Manager aids in the day-to-day management of a Panera Bread cafe, ensuring a high level of guest service and operational efficiency. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and contributing to the cafe's overall business performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide leadership to up to 75 staff members
• Ensure top-quality service experience for guests
• Maintain high standards of restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and safety
• Oversee overall business performance including ordering, scheduling, labor management, marketing, and catering
• Analyze and plan restaurant sales levels and profitability
• Coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts
• Coach and mentor associates through One-on-One's and performance reviews
• Serve as the primary resource for resolving associate questions
• Recruit and train staff to meet staffing levels

Requirements

• 2-3 years Hospitality Management experience
• Stable employment track record in restaurant industry
• Attention to detail
• Outstanding interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management is preferred
• At least 2-3 years Hospitality Management experience
