About This Role

The Assistant Manager at Cinemark assists in the overall operation of the theatre, ensures policies are followed, and supports operational standards. This role involves cross-training in all departments to provide support and training to employees.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the direction of the General Manager and support their decisions when communicating with staff
  • Work in all departments and job functions within the theatre
  • Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions
  • Assist in preparing administrative and special reports for the General Manager
  • Observe and participate in inspecting theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment condition
  • Report building, property, and equipment repair needs to the General Manager
  • Ensure theatre Team Members follow the dress code
  • Interact with Guests to improve service and ensure Team Members provide superior customer service
  • Learn and enforce Cinemark's established policies and procedures with all Team Members fairly and consistently
  • Report all Employee relations issues to the General Manager or www.convercent.com if the GM is absent
  • Consistently identify and sanitize Employee and Guest high-contact areas
  • Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment while completing position-specific tasks
  • Address any safety or security issues (e.g., trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons)

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Completion of specific Cinemark Management Accreditation Program courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core)
  • Completes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required
  • Completes Safe Alcohol Service training program if working with alcohol
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Regular and consistent attendance

  • Excellent Guest service skills
  • Accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • Interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities
  • Ability to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English

Qualifications

  • High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred
