Assistant Health Care Director

About This Role

Lead a nursing team in a senior living facility, supporting clinical services, medication management, and staff supervision to ensure residents receive excellent direct care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the nursing department including recruiting, training, scheduling, and ensuring quality of care
• Verify the proper distribution and required documentation of medication, treatments and orders
• Participate in regular resident assessments and service planning, and follow up with ancillary health care services as needed
• Assist with the move-in and move-out process including tours, orientation, evaluations and family communications
• Provide direct care when needed, such as during health emergencies or to fill an open shift
• Assume the Health Care Director’s responsibilities in their absence, and relay concerns to the Director

Requirements

• Current nursing license (RN or LPN) as required by the state
• CPR certification as required by the state
• At least 1 year of prior relevant experience

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of prior relevant experience

Nice to Have

• Previous supervisory experience, preferably in senior living
